Come to YCP Omaha’s December Executive Speaker Series! Chip Maxwell will be giving his presentation on “Be Not Afraid: Living as a Catholic Professional”. The attire for YCP events is professional, but we would strongly encourage festive Christmas attire for this event! So, please wear your special holiday outfits!
Chip Maxwell is a talk media host with Salem Media Group. He also has served as executive director for both the Omaha Alliance for the Private Sector, where he advocated at city hall and state capitol for reduced tax and regulatory burdens on small businesses, and at the Nebraska Coalition for Ethical Research, where he advocated for stem cell research that does not involve destruction of human embryos. He taught a course on American Vision and Values at Bellevue University and has served as an editorial writer for the Omaha World-Herald. He also served a four-year term as a State senator in the Nebraska legislature and a four-year term as the Douglas County Board commissioner.
He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, his Master of Studies in American History from Oxford University and his Bachelor of Arts in political science from Boston College. He is married to his lovely wife, Pam, with seven children between the ages of 13 and 28. Humorist Mary Maxwell (13 million hits on YouTube) is his mother.

YCP’s Executive Speaker Series is a program of monthly speakers in which executives share their professional and faith journeys and renew the challenge to young professionals to ‘Work in Witness for Christ!’ YCP puts special effort into securing great speakers who share practical ways to integrate faith into everyday life, especially in the workplace.

Dec. 2 Basketball and Dinner Night We’ll meet at 3:00 pm at Famous Dave’s at 2015 Pratt Ave. in Bellevue and after watch the Bellevue Bruins tip off at 5:00 pm in basketball against Viterbo at the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center at 1000 Galvin Road South.Tickets are $5.00 at the door.

Dec. 16 Annual Christmas Dinner Night We’ll meet at 5:30 pm at Fox & Hound at 506 N. 120th Street and after the group can decide to take in a game of billiards or play a game darts to ring in the holiday.

Jan. 6 Dinner and Movie Night We’ll meet at 5:00 pm for dinner at the at DJ’s Dugout in Aksarben Village at 2102 S 67th Ave. and after take in the latest release at the Aksarben theater at 2110 S 67th St.
