Bereavement Ministry (Ministry of Embrace)
Mary Our Queen’s Ministry of EMBRACE is comprised of fellow parishioners who have also, through death, suffered the loss of a loved one. We are here to offer hope during the grief journey, and to reach out during this difficult time. Care and support are offered through our prayers, presence at funerals, Memorial Crosses, the Annual Mass of Remembrance, Christmas Memory Tree and grief support materials and resources.

Communion to the Homebound
Holy Communion is brought to the homebound for short or long term. A priest will visit them on or near the First Friday as well. This is a very rewarding ministry for EMHCs, even as a substitute. If you would like receive Communion or volunteer to distribute communion, please call us.

This ministry cooks the evening meal for our parish priests on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings. The priests are well fed, very pleased, and we are saving the parish a great deal of money.

Funeral Lunches are provided for all who are in Mary Our Queen Parish. The Ladies Guild is Sponsor for this Project. They provide the Lettuce Salad, fruit, desserts, drinks and all supplies for the Lunch. The family is responsible for any main dish that they would like. We do offer help in choosing where and what they would like to order their food. The Ark Angels provide desserts; our contact person is Kelly Seipold. Workers come from the Circles, Catholic Daughters and Helping Hands. Anyone interested in helping with desserts or serving, please contact us.
This ministry helps parishioners when they need some added medical help in their homes. Registering can be done by e-mailing the parish, on the MOQ web site or by calling the number below. This will help us get in contact with medical help when it is needed. Thank you so much for giving of yourselves to others who are in need.
