Bible Studies this Fall

July 26th, 2017|Comments Off on Bible Studies this Fall

There are two exciting bible studies starting this fall. Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible- An 8 week overview of the bible, by Jeff Cavins. Come and gain insight, as well as a big picture

The mission of Magis is to provide opportunities for the people of Mary Our Queen parish to support each other through prayer and the sharing of their faith experiences in a small group setting.  The Latin word “magis” – meaning “seeking more” – reflects the ongoing gospel mission of deepening our relationships with God and with others.

There is currently one Magis group (13 men) which meets monthly at MOQ.  We take turns facilitating meetings, which typically look like this: a) Opening Prayer  b) Reflection/Sharing c) Petitions d) Closing Prayer

We are capped in terms of size for our current group, but if others are interested in forming a men’s or women’s group we would be happy to share resources and experiences that have worked for us.  In the last five years we have used materials from Renew International to guide our discussions and provide structure for the reflections.

This group is really about the joy of discipleship!   In our journey together, we are being challenged to listen to one another’s story, and become more and more aware of how God is working to transform our life and those around us.  If you are interested in hearing more about the group and possibly forming your own group, please contact us.
