The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
is a program for adults who are interested in becoming Catholic but who have not received the three sacraments of initiation into the Catholic Church, i.e. Baptism, Eucharist (First Communion) and Confirmation. Candidates who have been baptized in another Christian denomination generally receive only Eucharist and Confirmation.
The program is designed to educate the participants regarding the teachings of the Catholic Church but also to foster and encourage a deeper personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
The program begins in September of each year and the participants meet most Sundays through the Easter vigil at which time the candidates are formally received into the Catholic Church through the reception of the foregoing Sacraments.
Please contact Deacon Steve Floersch if you wish to register or if you have any questions regarding RCIA or becoming Catholic.
