National Catholic Youth Conference Meeting April 12!!

NATIONAL CATHOLIC YOUTH CONFERENCE:  Called

November 16-18, 2017 in Indianapolis, IN

The National Catholic Youth Conference is an exciting, biennial three-day experience of prayer, community, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers and their adult chaperones.  The schedule includes keynote addresses and workshop sessions addressing a wide variety of topics.  There are also opportunities for liturgy, reconciliation, prayer and worship, recreation and special activities such as concerts, exhibits, and the interactive thematic park.

Who can go to NCYC?    High school freshmen through seniors for the 2017-2018 school year are eligible to attend NCYC.  All registrations must be facilitated by a parish or school youth minister, pastor, or volunteer serving as the designated group leader.

We will be meeting at St. Robert’s on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Community Room to discuss the conference in depth.  This will include price and payment options, schedule details, all registration information, and chaperone information.

Prayers of the Faithful – Pentecost Sunday (B)

For our Holy Father Pope Francis, our Bishop George Lucas, Priests, Deacons, Religious, and all Laity:

May they look for guidance from the Holy Spirit in their lives and work… We pray to the Lord.

For peace in troubled areas throughout the world:

May the Holy Spirit guide leaders in addressing unresolved issues and open pathways to peace that will head to reconciliation… We pray to the Lord.

For all Prisoners:

May they find fervent Christians to lead them to repentance, to faith in Christ, and to the possession of the life in Holy Spirit… We pray to the Lord.

For the poor in spirit among us:

May the Risen Lord anoint us with His grace in order to maintain and increase the fire of the Holy Spirit within us… We pray to the Lord.

For Parishioners feeling sad and discouraged:

May we let go of our pain and resolve all obstacles which prevent the renewal of the Holy Spirit in our lives… We pray to the Lord.

Prayers of the Faithful – Seventh Sunday of Easter (B)

For Pope Francis, bishops, priests and deacons:

May they continue to seek the lost and bring them back into a personal relationship with the Risen Lord and the Church… We pray to the Lord.

For those in positions of responsibility like politics, finances, and the environment:

May Gospel values of justice and concern for the public good guide their decisions and actions… We pray to the Lord.

For Peace in our Country:

May God’s healing speed the recovery of those injured in acts of violence and may the Risen Lord speed the rebuilding of lives… We pray to the Lord.

For our Parish Families:

May the Risen Lord free us from everything that makes us withdraw into ourselves and help us live for one another and for you, our God… We pray to the Lord.

For all who protect us; in particular our military, police officers, and fire fighters:

May God grant them His protection as they serve their country and community… We pray to the Lord.

Prayers of the Faithful – Sixth Sunday of Easter (B)

For the Worldwide Catholic Church:

May the Church continue to proclaim the message and love of Christ to the world with clarity and conviction… We pray to the Lord.

For Peace in our Country:

May God’s healing speed the recovery of those injured in acts of violence and may the Risen Lord speed the rebuilding of lives… We pray to the Lord.

For Pro-Life workers among us:

May the Risen Lord bless them as they lay down their lives, their resources, and their reputations to defend unborn children from abortion… We pray to the Lord.

For all Mothers:

May the Risen Lord abundantly shower them with blessings as they experience the profound joy and gratitude of being vessels of life and of faith for their children… We pray to the Lord.

For all who protect us; in particular, our military, police officers and fire fighters:

May God grant them His protection as they serve their country and community… We pray to the Lord.

Prayers of the Faithful – Fifth Sunday of Easter (B)

For Pope Francis, all bishops, priests, deacons and religious:

May, through the holy spirit, they boldly lead the Church to believe and celebrate the Risen Christ… We pray to the Lord.

For Peace in our Country:

May God’s healing speed the recovery of those injured in acts of violence and may the Risen Lord speed the rebuilding of lives… We pray to the Lord.

For all recovering from natural disasters, especially in the Nepal earthquake:

May God heal their wounds, give them strength in their pain, and touch many hearts to assist them… We pray to the Lord.

For those in our Parish who feel cut off from friends or family:

May the Risen Lord guide them to new connections in their lives and help us to offer them love and acceptance… We pray to the Lord.

For all who dedicate their lives to protect us:

May they understand the love we have for them and may we appreciate the importance of their service, especially in these trying times… We pray to the Lord.

Prayers of the Faithful – Fourth Sunday of Easter (B)

For the Church:

May we be good stewards of the Gospel message and bring the light of Christ to all who are caught in darkness… We pray to the Lord.

For the members of our Government:

May the Spirit guide them as they face the challenges of terrorism and make difficult decisions… We pray to the Lord.

For Young Men and Women:

May God give them the gift of understanding to discern their service in the Church, the priesthood, diaconate, or consecrated life; and for the gift of courage to follow His call… We pray to the Lord.

For all Parish Youth on this World Day of Prayer for Vocations:

May they know and understand the personal love of the Lord for them, and may they respond with open and generous hearts… We pray to the Lord.

For all serving in the Military:

May they understand the love we have for them knowing the importance of their service, especially in these trying times… We pray to the Lord.

Prayers of the Faithful – The Third Sunday of Easter (B)

For all in the Worldwide Church:

May we recognize Christ in the Word of God, the People of God and in the Breaking of Bread… We pray to the Lord.

For all members of our Community:

May our prayers and merciful ministry lead to an increase in vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and religious life… We pray to the Lord.

For the healing of relationships in our families:

May the Divine Mercy of the Risen Lord, Jesus Christ, show us how to love, support and forgive one another each day… We pray to the Lord.

For the newly baptized and confirmed in our Community:

May they find a new home in the Church and a welcoming love from their new brothers and sisters… We pray to the Lord.

For all who find it hard to forgive others and for those who cannot forgive themselves:
