From now until the end of school (May 23^rd), all pledges are matched dollar for dollar, up to $250,000! To date this challenge has already turned just under $150,000 in pledges into almost $300,000! This means that we still have over $100,000 available to match, so your gifts this week can have double the impact! Please help us take full advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

 Exciting news! A parishioner has generously offered to match pledges to the campaign until the end of school (May 23), up to $250,000!

That means that every dollar raised will bring in an additional dollar toward the construction of our early childhood education and youth center. Your gift of $500 becomes $1,000. $3,000 becomes $6,000. $10,000 becomes $20,000. The impact is enormous.

Maximizing this challenge will result in $500,000 towards our goal…thus the DRIVE TO FIVE (Hundred) CHALLENGE! Please make your commitment today!

MORE THAN HALFWAY HOME

To date we have raised $1.85 million towards our total goal of $3.1 million. We’re more than halfway to our goal! The Mary Our Queen community has always risen to our challenges and there is no doubt we can do so again with the collaboration of generous supporters like you!

A generous parishioner has offered to match every dollar pledged to the campaign for the next $250,000! The Rooted in Faith, Building Our Future campaign is in full swing and we have already raised $741,000 toward our goal of construction an Early Childhood Education and Youth Center. Thank you for your generosity!

Have you wondered about the large wooden structure in the Narthax?  It is our supporter recognition “Plinko” board.  With every pledge, we will write the name of the contributor (or anonymous if you prefer) on a wooden chip and drop it down the “Plinko” board – a visual reminder and celebration of the contributors to the campaign. Please help us fill our Plinko board by making your pledge today.

We extend a sincere thank you to the many volunteers working on the campaign. Father Bob has asked these volunteers to reach out and personally meet with parishioners to discuss the campaign, answer questions, and confirm a decision about the parishioner’s participation. Our volunteers have graciously offered their time and talent on this very important endeavor, one that will help ensure that Mary Our Queen continues to be a thriving Catholic community for generations to come.

A letter from our Pastor:

After months of intensive preparation, I announce the official kick-off of Mary Our Queen’s Rooted in Faith, Building Our Future capital campaign!

I will talk about the campaign at all Masses and unveil our capital campaign video. After Mass, I invite all parishioners to the Trinity Rooms to celebrate the launch by enjoying donuts and coffee.  You may also talk with campaign volunteers who will be on hand to answer questions about the Early Childhood Education and Youth Center or campaign goals.

Check your mail next week.  All parishioners will receive a packet of information, which includes a financial request and instructions on how you can invest in the future of Mary Our Queen.

I have some thoughts I’d like to share about the campaign and what is being asked of parishioners:

• Invitation not Expectation Every family will be asked to consider a specific financial commitment to the campaign. I have worked with our consultants to determine requests that are appropriate for each family. That said, in some cases our request may be too high. In some cases, it may be too low. It is not an expectation. It is an invitation – and the starting point for your personal discernment. Ultimately, the church is grateful for whatever gifts you can provide.

• Reflect and Pray In advance of the request, I ask that you spend some time reflecting on Mary Our Queen, its future, and how you can help. Pray and ask the Lord for guidance. Give in a way that represents the blessings that you have received.

• Shared Responsibility This campaign should not be shouldered by one family, or a few families. It is the responsibility of the entire church community to ensure this effort is a success. That means generosity and sacrifice – and not just monetarily. We need gifts of time, talent and prayer too.

I hope you will join us in the Trinity Rooms after Mass to help celebrate our Rooted in Faith, Building Our Future campaign. It’s an exciting time for our church and we want you to be a part of something that will mean so much to the future of Mary Our Queen Catholic Church.
