Funeral Planning at Mary Our Queen

As much as we don’t like to dwell on death, it is a real part of our lives here on earth. As Catholics, we have a right to a Catholic funeral through the Sacrament of Baptism.

By planning your funeral in advance, you can take an active role in the liturgy and provide your family with less difficult and complicated decisions to make during a very emotional time. To learn more about how and why to plan your funeral or memorial service in advance please contact Renee Spicka, Director of Music and Liturgy.

Ash Wednesday

We will be having class on Ash Wednesday, February 18th. We normally give the children the day off to attend Mass with their families; however, this year we are blessed to have Deacon Ron Hesson meeting with the children and distributing ashes to them at 4:40 p.m. and 6:40 p.m.

Parents are invited to join the students. The children that attend 4:30 classes will return to class after the service. The 6:00 classes will be dismissed after ashes are distributed.

Parents, please be aware that there will be a 5:30 p.m. Mass this day and the parking lot will be full.
